Project UpLift Expands Again
Empowering 1,200 Students!
|
Thanks to ongoing support from our incredible donors and partners, the 2024-2025 school year marks another expansion of our Project UpLift literacy program! Now reaching over 1,200 students across 15 Title One public elementary schools in Palm Beach County, Project UpLift continues to make a transformative impact.
This free, after-school small-group literacy tutorial program targets students in grades 1-3 who are reading one to two levels below grade level. What excites us the most is witnessing the incredible progress these students achieve. Despite starting the school year ranked in the bottom 25% of their class, by year-end testing, our Project UpLift students have closed the gap, achieving scores comparable to their peers not enrolled in the program.
Project UpLift is built on the belief that with the right tools, guidance, and encouragement, all students can thrive. By boosting both their reading skills and academic confidence, we are helping these young learners make remarkable strides—paving the way for lifelong success.

Our Sponsors Go Above and Beyond
to Honor Extraordinary Teachers!
|
Each year, our Above and Beyond Awards proudly celebrate outstanding educators chosen by their peers. This year, we are thrilled to welcome several new school sponsors who have joined with us to recognize these exceptional teachers. We’re also excited to announce some fantastic new additions to the gift bags that our award winners will receive!
Our new school sponsors include the James and Marta Batmasian Family Foundation, Christina Morrison (christina4delray.com), Bonnie and Gary Hildebrand, Guy La Ferrera, and Moroco Orthodontics. They join our loyal sponsors Zappitell Law Firm, Stuart & Shelby Home Builders, Gracey-Backer, Inc. Insurance, FPL, John Peters of State Farm Insurance, and Shining Sea Private Wealth. These generous sponsors provide the funding that allows us to honor each winning teacher.
In addition to their awards, the Above and Beyond Award-winning teachers receive our “Outstanding Educator” tote bag filled with gifts and gift cards from local businesses. This year, so far we are pleased to welcome two new businesses, Norman Love Confections and Mint Eco Car Wash, who are adding their contributions to make the recognition even more special for our incredible teachers.
We couldn’t celebrate these deserving educators without the support of our wonderful sponsors. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of teachers who go above and beyond every day! If you or your business would like to join with us in honoring teachers at one (or all) of our schools, please contact us at info@rootsandwingsinc.org and we will be in touch!
